The short movie 'sugar bug' in which a bug endlessly circles the top of a sugar bowl, was shown on a blank wall space between the counter-top and the cupboards in the kitchen during the 'True Stories Untold' event in May 2010. It accompanies other pieces in a series of food work’ that plays on the ‘aesthetic’ interrelatedness of taste and vision and simultaneously challenges understandings of sugar as simply abundantly available devoid of historical and contemporary contexts of production, use and implications.
